Earth Hour

Posted on March 13, 2011

On Saturday, March 26th, our world will be coming together to make a stand.

Sign Up. Switch Off

Originally, Earth hour began in 2007 in Australia when over 22 million turned off all the lights for one hour. It was a stand of unity against climate change and by 2010, over 128 countries joined in with the action. Earth hour was organised by the well known and well established WWF as an attempt to make an impact on the effect our actions are having on our climate.

So, what do you have to do for earth hour?

Nothing. Nothing but turn off your lights for one WHOLE hour. Thats it. After that, you have a whole option of things you can do. Sit in the dark, smoke in the dark (not recommended), walk in the dark, dine in the dark. Or if you really feel like it. You can log on, come to Thoughts of a Kind and share with us your dark experience and fill us in with what you are doing.

Dont forget. March 26th, 8:30pm Local time. For those outside the UK. Check your local WWF website to find our what time it will be in your region.
